What We Believe

What We Believe

God

We believe that there is one God, externally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, 26, 27, 3:22; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2; Matthew 28:19; Psalms 90:2)

The Bible

We Believe that the Bible (Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments) are the inspired Word of God without error. The entire Scripture is one inspired revelation of God’s mind, will and word communicated to man and written on paper: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…”(2Timothy 3:16) “For the prophesy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (2Peter 1:21. See Deut. 6:24; Rev.1)

We believe that the Bible is God’s Complete Revelation to Man. These inspired words are gathered in 66 books and canonized into the Scriptures, the Word of God, and the Holy Bible. It is perfect, fully sufficient to bring all revelation of God that we can comprehend and appropriate. No further communication from God is to be added to and none may be used to subtract from the Bible.

We believe in the “Logos” The written Word of God taught”. We believe that Logos is the conception that Christ is the “Logos” (the Greet meaning) for “word”. It importantly establishes the doctrine of the divinity of Jesus Christ and his position as God the Son in the Trinity. The conception derives from the opening of the Gospel of John 1:1, often simply translated into English as: “In the beginning was the “Logos” (Word), and the “Logos” (Word) was with God, and the “Logos” Word was God.” In the translations, “Word” is used for Logos which is often left un-translated. In addition, it also represents the Evangelistic teaching of the Word of God. 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 declares “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you– unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”

We believe that the Logos Word is settled forever in Heaven. Earth and Heaven may pass away, but this Word will never pass. That part of the Scripture which is a description of the Word personage, character, plan, and eternal purpose will never fail, for it is the very expression of God Himself. The Logos is the same as God: the same yesterday, today and forever.

We believe that the Logos is God’s Eternal Standard. It is the consistent, absolute standard by which all other expressions, concepts, revelations, doctrines, preaching, and prophesies are measured. It is the eternal principle and decree. Neither angel, nor human, nor devil, nor any other power in the whole universe can keep the Logos from eternally being and becoming all it proclaims.

We believe the word of God is the Rhema Word. We believe the rhema, on the other hand might be called “A word from the Word”. We believe that the Rhema denotes that which is spoken, what is uttered in speech and writing: in the singular, a word. The significance of Rhema is exemplified in the injunction to take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word (rhema) of God” (Eph.6:17). We believe that Rhema then, is that timely, Holy Spirit-inspired word from the Logos

We believe the Bible is the true written message of God to us and it is completely trustworthy. We believe it is the source of all sound doctrine and correction (Psalms 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is co-equal with the Father.  He lived a sinless human life and died on the cross, offered Himself as the complete and final sacrifice for all mankind and our sins. Furthermore, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

We believe He is the Sovereign Giver of spiritual gifts to the church for the perfecting of the Saints, for work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the Body of Christ and are given without regard to ethnicity, social class, or gender. (Ephesians 4:7-12; Galatians 3:26-28, Matthew 1:22-23; Romans 1:3-4; Hebrews 4:14-15; Isaiah 9:6; Acts 1:9-11; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; 14:16-17)

Salvation

We believe that Salvation is God’s free gift to man and through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection justification has provided for all who believe.

We believe that after salvation you are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Through our Faith in Jesus Christ, God sees us as the Righteousness of Christ and now we are saved and have reserved a place in heaven to spend eternity in heaven. (Romans 5:1; Romans 6:23; Titus 3:5; John 14:6; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 2:8-9)

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is the divine helper, assistant, counselor and instructor to those who have asked Christ into their hearts.

We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for Godly living and service.

We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and that the Holy Spirit verifies and validates the Believer as part of the Body of Christ.

We believe in the spirit-filled life as desirable, valuable, and an issue of obedience. We recognize that within the Body of Christ, the term, “filled with the Holy Ghost” is often used interchangeably with the term, “baptism of the Holy Ghost.”

We believe it is the will and command of God that every Believer be “filled,” “walk in,” be “led by,” and “live in” the power of the Holy Ghost. We believe being filled with the Holy Spirit should not only be a continuous reality, but an ongoing characteristic of the believer’s consecrated holiness as well as speaking in tongues, as our heavenly language, that builds us up in our most holy faith.

We believe tongues are an indicator, not a qualifier but the evidence of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence is a changed life.  (Ephesians 5:18; Galatians 5:16, 18, 25; Romans 8:9; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13; 5:18; John 16:7-13; 14:16-27; I Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; Galatians 5:22-25; Matthew 3:11; John 1:33; I Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 5:18; Jude 20, Acts 19:2-6; Acts 2:1-4; 1 Corinthians 14:14-15)

The Church

We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head.

We believe in the Divine personhood of the Holy Spirit and His present-day ministry to Believers, including the sovereign distribution of spiritual gifts, which empowers Believers for service.

We believe that Man is a human being made in the spiritual image of God. We believe man was created in the image of God, but because of voluntary disobedience, fell from innocence and purity. Sin separated man from God and caused many problems.

Even though we were once all sinners, Christ died for us signing a pardon for all those who believe on Him.

We believe the 5 Administrative gifts that God gave to the church according to Ephesians 4:11 and through that we have the authority to operate in diverse gifts but must first walk in unity and recognize that as believers we share the same Spirit but work in many areas such as the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, the word of faith, the gift of healing, the working of miracles, to another prophesy, to another discerning of spirits, to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these work that one and the selfsame spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

We believe that the Church is the Bride of Christ and soon Jesus will come and receive His Bride according to Revelations 19:7-9

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and its role is to continue the work of Jesus Christ in this world (John 3:16; 17:20-23; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 53:6; 59:1-2; Ephesians 2:19-22; I Corinthians 12:7-11)

Baptism

We believe that baptism is an outward expression of an inward commitment by immersion in water for the circumcision of our hearts. It is through baptism that we publicly identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We baptize always as the early church and as Jesus instructed his disciples. Therefore during baptism, we baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, according to the Apostle’s doctrine in Jesus Name because He is the author and finisher of our faith. (Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38, 10:44 and 9:1-4; Heb. 12:2; Matthew 28:19)

Communion

We believe the Commemoration of the Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that all Christians should partake of the communion elements, which represent the Lord Jesus’ body and blood. It is by participating in the Lord’s Supper that we proclaim His death until His return (Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:35-38; John 6:53-58; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30)

Prophesy/Prophetic Intercession (Prayer) & the Supernatural

We believe in the Prophetic! We believe prophesy is a supernatural utterance in a known tongue. The Hebrew “to prophesy” means to “flow forth”. It also carries with it the thought “to bubble forth like a fountain, to let drop, to lift up, to tumble forth, and to spring forth.  The Greek word that is translated “prophesy” means “to speak for another”.  It means to speak for God or be His spokesman.

We believe that healings, deliverances, signs, wonders and casting out of unclean spirits are birthed in the church through unity out of the supernatural realm. Acts 19:11 declares “And God did worked special miracles by the hands of Paul”. Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, he told the disciples “Behold, I give unto you POWER to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)

We believe that Prophesy is the supernaturally imparted ability to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and speak God’s mind or counsel. Prophesy ministers not only to the assembled group of believers, but also to individuals. Its main three purposes are:

To edify = to build up, strengthen, to make more effective.

To exhort = to stimulate, to encourage, to admonish.

To comfort = to cheer up.

In addition, we believe that Prophesy is the Rhema Word of God which represents the Holy Spirit giving a Prophetic Word through Impartation of Faith. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the (Rhema) word of God”. (Romans 10:17) KJV. We believe that it also represents Revelation, Illumination and Demonstration which brings life, power, and faith to fulfill.

We believe that the word “prophetic” is an adjective related to two words -prophecy and prophet. We believe that Prophesy, Prophetic Intercession and the Supernatural are all divine inspirations and declarations purposed from God will, whether by reproving, admonishing the wicked, comforting the afflicted, revealing hidden things, or foretelling future events.

We believe that Prophetic Intercession is an urge to pray, given by the Holy Spirit, for situations or circumstances about which you have very little knowledge in the natural. It is praying the heart of God. Prophetic Intercession nudges you to pray so that God can intervene and direct you to bring forth His will on the earth as it is willed in heaven. (Matthew 6:9-13)

Prophetic Intercession is the ability to receive an immediate prayer request from God and pray about it in a divinely anointed utterance. Prophetic intercession is waiting before God in order to “hear” or receive God’s burden (God’s Word, His concern, warning, conditions, vision or promises), responding back to the Lord and then to the people with appropriate actions.

We believe that all three (Prophesy, Prophetic Intercession and the Supernatural) involves an utterance or communication through words, speaking ahead of time, what God is planning to do and preparing the ground for what God is planning to do.

We believe that they all represent an utterance that actually covers a lot of what goes on and cannot be revealed or understood through normal preaching.

We believe that this MOVEMENT is shifting the Body of Christ to a place of maturity and can only experience maturity when believers are walking in faith, love and hope and bring them to a full knowledge of the Lord and help prepare them for the ministry God has called them to do. (Roman 12: 4-8; Ephesians 4:11; 2 Peter 1:19, Luke 11:1; Romans 8:34)
